Privacy notice

What happens to the details you give us through the enquiry form on this website.

Who we are

TownCall is run by TownCall Limited (company number 17528903), which is the controller of your personal data. Our company details are at the bottom of this page. You can contact us at pradeep@towncall.co.uk.

What we collect and why

The form asks for your name, your council, your role and your email address, and anything you choose to write in the message. We use these only to reply to your enquiry, for example by sending you the January report or arranging a conversation. We don’t use them for marketing, and we don’t sell them or pass them to anyone except the services below.

Our lawful basis

We rely on legitimate interests. You’ve asked us to get in touch, and we need your details to do that.

Who else handles your details

Three companies process your details for us, under contract and only on our instructions:

Where your details are processed

Cloudflare’s data processing terms say it complies with the Data Privacy Framework, which they define as the UK-U.S. extension to the EU-U.S. framework. Where that doesn’t apply, transfers are made under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as amended by the UK Addendum.

Linear’s data processing terms say its primary processing takes place in the United States. Transfers from the UK are made under the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Zoho’s privacy FAQ says it relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers outside the EU, and does not rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Our Zoho Mail account is stored in Zoho’s US data centre.

How long we keep them

If nothing comes of your enquiry, we delete your details 12 months after you sent them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete them. Email pradeep@towncall.co.uk and we’ll reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
